Wow, this was our biggest outdoor project yet! One of the things we loved about this property when we first visited it was the collection of random buildings and stone pathways (often partially) built in every direction. That might seem silly, but it made us feel like kids again… endless exploration and getting to have ideas on how to make it ours was just so exciting!

So, in March we started to tackle this little forgotten building to turn it into a greenhouse. It took a few months, and many weather changes here in lovely, volatile, Colorado, but we now have a freshly painted and rebuilt greenhouse, with a sturdy, snow bearing roof, reclaimed shelves and tables from the previous roofing materials, brand new raised Shou Sugi Ban planter beds and magical solar powered string lights that automatically light up at dusk and turn off at dawn. Since our seedlings are coming along and the frost has almost passed, it’ll be time to load in all greenery soon and get ready for some summer produce. Yay! And of course, I had to style it with some classic garden charm…
